Various establishments such as hotels, restaurants, bars, large venues, and insurance firms require staff to undertake responsible alcohol training. In some states, this training is obligatory for those serving alcoholic beverages for on-premise consumption. The AIM to Serve Program has been an approved course by the state of Tennessee for over 18 years and is also endorsed in specific cities in Kentucky (with plans for expansion to additional locations within the United States).
